It is more than a pleasure for Pam Williams, owner of the Tangerine Bowl, to announce an event like Quincy has never seen. On May 4th, Williams will be bringing 6 world class professional bowlers to Quincy for a teaching clinic and Pro-Am Tournament. The clinic, organized by USBC Hall of Fame Bowler Sean Rash, will be conducted in the morning, followed by lunch. In the afternoon Rash and his ‘friends’ will also conduct a Pro-Am Tournament where local bowlers can bowl with the pros. Click the logo for the registration form.
About the Event:
The morning Clinic will be limited to 60 bowlers. The Pros will work with a group of 10 bowlers at a time for approximately 30 minutes, then will rotate to another group of lanes so that attendees with get the chance to work with multiple Pros. There will also be time for pictures with the Pros, autographs, and a Q&A session before we break for lunch.
After lunch we will have a Pro-Am tournament limited to 84 bowlers. Bowlers will bowl with the Pros, rotating lanes after each of 3 games, allowing bowlers the opportunity to bowl with multiple Pros. In place of a cash prize structure, the Pros will be giving out autographed Jerseys and Balls throughout the day to attendees.
About The Bowlers:
Rash has won over 17 Professional Bowling Association (PBA) titles and was named Player of the Year for the 2011-2012 season. Coming with Rash will be two-handed sensation David “Boog” Krol with 3 regional titles and 2 national titles including winning the 2024 PBA Playoffs. Anthony Simonsen, the youngest player ever to win a PBA master tournament, will also be on hand. “Simo” currently is the youngest bowler ever to hold 5 PBA tour titles and in 2022 eclipsed the $1 Million earnings mark. Rounding out the men for this event will be none other than EJ Tackett, currently regarded as the #1 bowler in the world with 23 PBA Tour titles, and one of only 9 bowlers ever to win the PBA Triple Crown. Tackett is also a 3-time PBA Player of the Year, a 2-time Gold medal Olympian, and earlier this year won the US Open.
Rash will also be bringing two female PWBA bowlers for the event. Stephanie Zavala, is an international bowler who won the 2022 PWBA Tour Championship as well as 5 PWBA Tour events. The final Pro is Danielle McEwan, who has won 9 PWBA titles (2 Majors) including the 2019 PWBA Tour Championship and the 2019 US Women’s Open. She is also a two time winner of the World Bowling Tour (WBT) Women’s Finals.
Together these six bowlers have captured 72 PBA Tour wins, 15 Majors, 40 PBA Regional wins. Additionally, 4 of these Pros are also multi-year Olympic bowlers.
